After much discernment and prayer Heather Lamb has decided to resign from the position of Church Life Coordinator (Community and Care) for personal and family support reasons. Heather’s last day in this position will be Friday 10 August 2018.
Welcome Flags Notice
The flags on the Welcome sign usually displayed before each Sunday morning service are not just a random selection. They are chosen because each flag represents the country of birth of someone in the congregation.
The flags on the notice have recently been amended by Chris Martin. Some people have left and their flag removed. New people have joined and their flag added.
First Sunday Converse and Café – Sunday Night!
If you would like to have a time of worship that is conversational, reflective and prayerful, listen to music and followed by a meal, then First Sunday Converse and Café is on Sunday 5th August at 6pm here at Gungahlin Uniting.
This Sunday
This Sunday Rev. Ron Reeson will lead the first half of worship while our minister Darren has breakfast with the Billabong Youth. Darren returns with the message after morning tea while Oasis for primary aged children meet.
First Sunday Converse and Cafe meets at 6 pm at the church for a smaller worship gathering that is conversational, reflective and prayerful, with the option of joining together for a meal in the town centre afterwards for those who would like to stay on. Everyone is welcome!
With the arrival of winter we especially pray for those people in need who pass through our doors each day of the week; for peace, for hope, for a word of friendship, for food, for worship, particularly in this change of season and for women living without a place to call home.
Quiet Room Library
We’d like to remind everyone that the books in the library in the quiet room are available to borrow/use. Also, if people want to add a book/text they’ve found helpful/interesting to the collection that would be great too.
