In the past weeks we have retraced so many image rich stories, which are core for our religious memory.
The Exodus event gave birth to a nation which understood itself to be the People of God. It is this story which provided the backdrop for what became the second exodus where Jesus the Christ opens the way to a freedom for all of us, giving us our particular identity as the People of God who anticipate the new promised land of the Kingdom of God.
Please return your Volunteering in 2018 forms into the big PINK box in the foyer by next Sunday- 5th November. These forms will help in the planning of the next church roster and help in the smooth running of the church and its various ministries.

Greetings to the Gungahlin Uniting community
Today we conclude our series featuring THE GREAT ESCAPE. The pilgrims are on the cusp of entering into the promised land. Moses (who will not make it himself) challenges the people to make a decision – the choice being fundamentally to “choose life”.
Behind such a choice, there is always the further question – life for whom?
