Service of Commissioning
Service of Commissioning for Lay Pastor Darren Wright
We look forward to welcoming Lay Pastor Darren Wright who has accepted a call to ministry with Gungahlin Uniting commencing in March. Darren along with Holly and their children Theodore and Isabelle will be moving to Canberra from Wagga.
The Canberra Region Presbytery will conduct a Service of Commissioning for Darren at GUCCC on Saturday 17th March- 3pm.
Singing Group
The singing group will be preparing a song for Darren Wright’s induction service on 17th March. Rehearsals will be held in the morning tea break starting Sunday.

Inviting you to think about our own church community the wider church, the world!
- This week we pray for Darren and his family as they prepare to move and settle into Canberra over the next few weeks.
- This week we pray and give thanks for Canberra Region Presbytery- for the members of our 54 congregations and their enormous contribution to the building up of God’s Kingdom; for our Chaplains and their work in Universities, Defence, Hospital; for the staff at Greenhills Camp and Conference Centre and their ministry with young people.
- This week we pray for Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands.
Lent Event
During Lent, we are invited to support Uniting World through Lent Event. In 2018 the theme is: TOGETHER We change the World with a focus on the Pacific.
We can choose to live simply during this period and contribute to resources to support advocacy against violence, skills for women and help in preparing for natural disasters. This year funds will also support rebuilding following Cyclone Gita. Visit www.lentevent.com.
