The work of our Mustard Seed Food Pantry happens every week. There are a number of different ways people in our community help throughout the week in preparation for open day on Thursday. At present we are in need of volunteers to staff our Café from 10-1pm on Thursday’s and to help serve on the Till on Thursday evening 6-7pm.
Thank you to everyone in the congregation that helped to get the manse ready for sale – for the help at the working bee, for the handy-person jobs that have been done over the last month or so. The tenants have moved out and the Church Council decided to style the house so it didn’t look so empty.
The Uniting Church is noted for its diversity and its desire to be inclusive. While we welcome people from many linguistic and cultural backgrounds, we also affirm those of diverse sexual orientations. However it is recognised that people may have questions regarding sexuality and would like to be better informed as citizens and Christians. The upcoming plebiscite on same sex marriage highlights that there are many differing opinions not only in the community at large but also within the wider Christian community.
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
