Canberra Region Presbytery is looking for a new Treasurer; someone to learn the ropes with a view to taking up the role in 2018. We need someone with good financial skills, an interest in the well-being of the Presbytery, and an ability to provide strategic management of our finances and reporting of same.
Contact Rev Kevin Dilks (Presbytery Minister for Presbytery Wellbeing) or John Sutton, Convenor of Presbytery Finance Committee.
Thank you to everyone who sent their best wishes, signed the journal, took part in photos or came along to the dinner on Saturday 24th June to celebrate Mark’s 10 years of ministry with us at GUCCC.
All the help with preparations, food, flowers, gifts, words, presentations and clean up came together to create a warm and memorable evening.
A great community effort !
Church Council at its meeting last week decided to donate $2000 towards Tuggeranong Baptist Church in Kambah which was completely destroyed by fire on Saturday 17th June. We have sent a message of support and prayers for the many people affected; those who attend worship and those from the wider community who participate in activities such as the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades, the op-shop and the community lunches.
Baker’s Delight continue to donate their bread to us weekly and this is very much needed and appreciated by our customers to the food pantry. Over the past few months bread pick up has been happening on a Friday night with a couple of families helping with the pick-up.
The good news is we are now able to go back to our original pick-up of Monday night – 6.30pm.
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
