The parting of the Red Sea
and crossing over to the other side
became THE sign of victory for the enslaved Hebrews.
It marked the beginning of a new life
of freedom as a pilgrim people.
The event was worthy of exuberant celebration
and its significance never to be forgotten.
The Annual General Meeting for Gungahlin Uniting Church will take place after worship on Sunday 5th November.
This year we are electing up to seven new members for Church Council. It is up to everyone in the congregation to discern who you would like to nominate for Church Council – please read the information on the nomination forms and return your forms into the pink box in the church foyer by Sunday 15th October.
Inviting you to think about our own church community the wider church, the world!
Conversation on Gender Diversity, Faith & Marriage Equality
The Uniting Church is noted for its diversity and its desire to be inclusive. While we welcome people from many linguistic and cultural backgrounds, we also affirm those of diverse sexual orientations. However it is recognised that people may have questions regarding sexuality and would like to be better informed as citizens and Christians. The postal survey on same sex marriage highlights that there are many differing opinions not only in the community at large but also within the wider Christian community.
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
