The Common Ground apartments are nearly finished (just up the road from our Church). They will be for people who have been unemployed or homeless and for some who find housing affordability difficult. Our Church is providing a box of food as a welcome to each new resident. Nearly 20 boxes were packed last Sunday and are in the main worship space. We still need INSTANT COFFEE & WEETBIX which can be brought on any Sunday and placed in our offering food basket. Thank you to all who have supported this part of our support of local community and to those who packed the boxes!
What makes a good Church?
Can you help with this project?
Staff from Uniting Mission and Education (part of the wider Uniting Church) are coming to Gungahlin Uniting on the weekend of 30 May/1st June. The aim of the research project is to talk to people from a range of uniting churches, learn from your stories and experiences, and use the information to encourage others in developing creative and effective church groups. Food Pantry Volunteers
Our Mustard Seed Uniting Food Pantry continues to grow and we continue to need volunteers to support this great work.
We are looking for:
An admin support person who would come in for an hour or two each week to record new members, update statistics, make member’s cards and other various admin tasks. It would be best if this was done from the office, but the time is negotiable.

Get Involved This Easter
Last year you couldn’t buy Fairtrade Easter eggs in supermarkets. Mary Appiah is a farmer who grows cocoa. The more cocoa she sells on Fairtrade terms, the more her community can benefit from fair prices. Mary is coming to Australia this Easter. Sign our petition asking Coles and Woolworths to increase their Fairtrade Easter range next year.
Go on, be a good egg. Sign with Mark: Google ‘sign with Mary’ and sign a petition online.
