Message from the Church Council, Gungahlin Uniting Church
We wish to advise that a Congregational Meeting (Budget) will take place immediately after worship on Sunday 19th August 2018. We encourage all members of the congregation to come along.
A very big and sincere thank you to the Church Council of GUCC. They have sent a very helpful donation on our behalf for the ministry of Kairos Outside for Women. This donation will fund two women to attend a special weekend at Greenhills Conference Centre on 24-26 August.
This Sunday Rev. Ron Reeson will lead the first half of worship while our minister Darren has breakfast with the Billabong Youth. Darren returns with the message after morning tea while Oasis for primary aged children meet.
First Sunday Converse and Cafe meets at 6 pm at the church for a smaller worship gathering that is conversational, reflective and prayerful, with the option of joining together for a meal in the town centre afterwards for those who would like to stay on. Everyone is welcome!
With the arrival of winter we especially pray for those people in need who pass through our doors each day of the week; for peace, for hope, for a word of friendship, for food, for worship, particularly in this change of season and for women living without a place to call home.
We’d like to remind everyone that the books in the library in the quiet room are available to borrow/use. Also, if people want to add a book/text they’ve found helpful/interesting to the collection that would be great too.
All age worship this Sunday 27th May is brought to us by Darren and includes a time of celebration as Jessica and Charles bring their daughter Sally for Baptism. Family and friends are welcomed at this time of community and celebration.
Following morning tea, Oasis for primary aged children will meet in the multipurpose room and Billabong youth who are matched with mentors will be spending time together.
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
