Each week as part of our offering we bring forward the basket in which members of the congregation have placed items for our food pantry. The Food Pantry is open each week and the basket is like the “source of the spring” from which flows the “river of life” each Thursday when our Food Pantry is open. Please remember the basket and the way you can support the food pantry and through it encourage others who are in need at this time. Bring along any non-perishable food items and place them in the basket as you come into worship as part of your offering each week!
Open/Closed Times for December & January
The Food Pantry will be OPEN for the next two weeks leading up to Christmas – Thursday 15th & 22nd December.
It will then be CLOSED for five weeks following Christmas and all of January. We will RE-OPEN on Thursday 2nd February 2017.
Thank you to all who have given in various ways over this year to support the on-going work of this community activity.
Oasis is our primary aged children’s group which meets following morning tea on most Sundays of school term.
Each week we need to have two designated adults leading this group; one who prepares and leads and one who helps on the day. We also do not expect our Oasis leaders and helpers to be in their role all year, but to be rostered on term by term about.
Remember, although our church is in the town centre, it is also in the paddock! The grass has just been cut this week, but please be aware that our location is ideal for snakes. Adults, please all take responsibility to check the playground before children go out to play!
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
