August is the second Share the Dignity month this year. Once again, Gungahlin Uniting Church will be a collection point. We have a white bin under the food pantry verandah that will be available 24 hours a day as well as a pink box at the office window in the foyer which is available whenever the building is open. Please think about donating sanitary items to support homeless women when they have their period. Toiletries are also welcome.
The 17th annual weekend for Kairos Outside for Women (KOW) will be held at Greenhills Conference Centre, near the Cotter River, on 12-14 August. KOW is a Christian ministry for women who have been impacted by having someone close to them who has spent time in jail. These may be mothers or sisters, wives, girlfriends or daughters, and each of them has struggled with what this has meant for their family. A large team of women from many different Christian churches in our region will be there to facilitate the program and to support the guests with prayer, love and thoughtful listening. This year, Margaret Reeson from GUC is a member of the team and will be happy to talk to you about it.
Next Sunday evening (7th August) is First Sunday Converse and Café. A gentle time of worship, prayer, music, and faith conversation. This is an easy group to come along to here at Gungahlin Uniting Church led by our Minister Mark. Following, for any who would like, we share a meal at a local café/restaurant. 6pm @ GUCCC.
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
