You are invited to our one day long Spring Getaway in rural Dalton; a beautiful rural location.
Next Sunday, 8th, we will have our service of Commitment to Christ in which we all affirm our part in the life of the church and the way we all serve in different ways. We will pray for our new Church Council and affirm them in their role to build the congregation up in faith and love. Together we make our commitment to Christ as followers along the way. We will also share in communion and follow this with our BBQ lunch.
Following worship on Sunday 1st November we have our AGM at which we make some important decisions. Please plan to stay for this “not too long” meeting.
Today we have to vote for our Church Council in 2016. Those nominated to be on Church Council are:
Those who will continue on Church Council in 2016 are: Heather Lamb, Wanda Beeby, Mark Phythian, Pauline Loughhead, Lois Jun and also our Minister Mark.
We will also discuss and vote on an extension of Rev. Mark Faulkner’s Ministry here at Gungahlin Uniting Church. Mark will not be present for this part of the meeting.
We will also affirm decisions around the consultation report on GUC by Presbytery and our own Annual Report.
If you feel drawn to nominate someone to our Church Council in 2016 then Sunday 27th Sept. is the last day.
Nomination forms are available in the foyer and need to be placed in the gold box in the foyer by the end of worship.
Please read the information carefully as part of your discernment for this important role in our church.
Each year at Gungahlin we invite everyone to consider how they would like to be involved in the life of your church. There are many gifts that people have and many ways to serve. Please take a volunteer form (available in the foyer) and consider how you can be involved. Place your completed form in the gold box in the foyer and you will be included!
We are a community on a journey, we’ve grown from a small faith community planted in Ngunnawal in the early years of Gungahlin’s development to a thriving inclusive, intergenerational & multicultural community. As Gungahlin has grown we have seen a lot of change.
We are an open and inclusive community, everyone is welcome to use their gifts in worship, prayer, leadership, hospitality and teaching.

Worship is for all ages, (0 to 93!) and seeks to be meaningful in different ways for us all.
In Jesus Christ we see how he drew near to each and all and so we hope our worship expresses this nearness too.
We worship at the Gungahlin Uniting Church & Community Centre.
