Beginning to think about gift-giving for Christmas? Disturbed by waste on gifts that have limited usefulness? Wondering about what to do about family members who ‘have everything’?
Here is an alternative.
Choose a virtual gift – a chicken, school supplies, a piglet or goat, clean water, even goat’s poo for fertiliser – that will offer life and livelihood to people in Asia and the Pacific. That is a gift that will not end up in landfill!
On Sunday 2 December and Sunday 9 December at GUCCC, the Everything in Common Gift Stall will be available. Buy Christmas cards ($12 for a pack of 8) and gift cards for a range of practical projects, most prices ranging from $10-$50 with a few more expensive.
Collect a catalogue and/or price list in advance from Margaret Reeson and make your selection, ready to collect on 2nd or 9th December.
