For our GUC Community:
- We pray for those whose lives are in the midst of change
- We pray for the first… First Sunday Café next Sunday evening
- We pray for our congregation as we begin in the next weeks to consider how we will be involved next year
- We pray for those who are ill or dying at this time.
- We pray for those who feel lonely, even within the life of our church.
For Presbytery & the wider church: Candidates for Ministry
Pray for:
- all those preparing for ministry;
- a willingness in more and more people to be open to the call to the specified ministries.
For our World: Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia
Pray for:
- Economic stability in the transition from communism to a free-market economy.
- The poor and the elderly, who bear the brunt of economic reforms.
- The unemployed, and all who suffer the loss of state social services.
- The victims of anti-semitism, and ethnic, gender, and social intolerance in the midst of rising nationalism and the search for identity.
- The environment, especially where it is heavily polluted.
- Renewal of the church in the midst of both growing freedom and growing secularization.
